As exhibitor chair for the 2009 Technology Conference of the Utah Coalition for Educational Technology (UCET), I am pleased to invite you to participate in our upcoming conference. This year’s conference is scheduled for March 6th - March 7th, 2009 at Taylorsville High School located at 5225 South Redwood Rd., Taylorsville, Utah. This is our second year at this site. The exhibit area will be located in the main gym and the auxiliary gym. Once again participants will have a punch card for the vendor areas, and the over- the- shoulder will be in both vendor areas. In addition teachers will be coming to see you because of our new grant program.We hope this will increase the number of participants that you will see. We also will be spreading out the sponsor equally in both gyms.


Our conference average is about 1100 participants, mostly public school educators and administrators. The educators who attend the UCET Conference are highly interested in seeing and hearing about new and innovative ways to use technology in education and are, in most cases, sent to the conference by their school districts to evaluate instructional technologies. In a nutshell, the attendees of this conference are the movers, shakers, and decision-makers regarding technological decisions in Utah’s schools. This year we have added a new board member, whose job is to get all technology directors to the conference. Please join us for the best conference we’ve had in our 28 year history.

GES Exposition Services is once again handling our exhibitor area this year. They can help you with any additional furniture or display needs. This year the school will not receive direct shipments of supplies or displays. All supplies and displays must be shipped through GES. It is a part of our contract with GES. This arrangement also releases the school from any liability for lost or damaged supplies/displays and the additional work of school personnel to receive and store items.
