Presenter Information

Presenter Equipment and Room Set-up Specifications

  • Handouts – Presenter is responsible for printing and distributing any handouts to Presenter’s attendees unless arrangements are made prior to the conference.

  • Recording – Presenter agrees to be video recorded for overflow distribution, archive, and Internet distribution purposes.

  • Listen and Learn (One-way audience interaction)

    • Lecture: Hour-long Traditional – Classroom with a screen, LCD Projector with VGA Connections, audio speakers, and Internet connection will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own equipment.

    • Panel: Hour-long Moderator and 2-3 panelists – Classroom with a screen, LCD Projector with VGA Connections, audio speakers, and Internet connection will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own equipment.

    • Over the Shoulder: 20-minutes Focus on specific solution, tool or content provider – Booth near or in Vendor Hall with a screen, LCD Projector with VGA Connections, audio speakers, wired/wireless internet and wireless microphone will be provided. You must bring a device from which to present and any adapters that may be necessary.

    • Ignite!: Present 20 slides in 5 minutes. Presentation in main keynote area with a screen, computer, LCD projector with VGA connections, audio speakers, wireless Internet, wireless microphone, and timer will be provided. You will be expected to submit your slides ahead of time to be complied on the same computer with other Ignite! presentations.

  • Participate and Share (Moderate audience interaction)

    • Interactive Lecture: Hour-long Some activities for audience participation – Classroom with a screen, LCD Projector with VGA Connections, audio speakers, and Internet connection will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own equipment.

    • Student Showcase: Two-hour Demonstration style, booth location, 1:1 or small group interaction – presentation table, chair, power and wireless internet access will be provided. You must bring a device from which to present and any adapters, projectors and speakers that may be necessary. Presenters are encouraged to provide signage identifying their names and presentation titles to display on the boards, along with any other display and interactive materials deemed appropriate.

  • Explore and Create (Extensive audience interaction)

    • BYOD (Bring Your Own Device): Hour-long Hands on activities – Classroom with a screen, LCD Projector with VGA Connections, audio speakers, and Internet connection will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own equipment.

    • Workshops: 2-hour In-depth exploration, Limited enrollment – Classroom with a screen, LCD Projector with VGA Connections, audio speakers, and Internet connection will be provided. All workshops are now BYOD, and presenters should contact attendees ahead of time to specify what equipment and/or software is needed for the workshop. You are welcome to bring your own equipment.

Additional Readings

Presenter Registration
All adult presenters must register to attend the conference. UCET is pleased to announce we will be able to use your proposal information to complete conference registration on your behalf. However, all presenters must print their own badge prior to arriving at the conference. The instructions for badge printing will be posted on the website under Attendees.

K-12 student presenters (18 years and younger) are not required to register. Badges may be created for them upon request via email prior to the conference. The conference registration bag and materials are not included, but student presenters will receive a lunch and a special commemorative conference gift. Please indicate on your presentation proposal the number of students who will be attending in or for UCET to accommodate lunches and gifts.
