UCET Board Elections

voteWho will you vote for this year to serve on the UCET Board? There are many qualified candidates running for a handful of positions.  Each person has valuable skills and ideas to bring to your organization.  The decision will be tough, but your opinion matters!

The 2016 election will be held on the second day of the conference, March 18th, when a live form is released to all conference attendees and UCET members. Before voting starts, prepare yourself for some tough decisions by previewing the ballot and reading a little about each candidate.  (Terms: The President will serve a total of three years in the positions of  president-elect, president, and past-president. Each elected board member will serve for two years.)

Michael Hakkarinen

Michael Hakkarinen specializes in helping teachers engage students in the classroom with technology such as Mac Tools, Google Apps for Educators, iPads and more. He earned a Bachelor’s in English from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Master’s in Elementary Education at Mount Saint Mary’s University, where he also taught Instructional Technology at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He was a Technology Resource Teacher in Frederick County, Maryland, where he taught elementary school, and an EdTech for Canyons School District in Utah before joining the UEN PD team in 2014. He currently serves as President of the UCET Board.
