Board Information
The UCET Board is comprised of a combination of elected and appointed volunteers. Being on the board is both a lot of work, as well as a lot of fun.
Time Commitment: Running for the board requires dedication. Board members attend a yearly 2 day conference planning retreat and a 2-hour monthly meeting, either in-person or via videoconference.
Responsibilities: Each board member manages a specific part of the conference, such as volunteers, registration, session strands, the website, communications, and more. Completing these tasks is crucial for a smooth conference, often requiring extra hours, especially leading up to the event.
Community: The UCET Board includes members with diverse experiences in educational technology. Serving on the board offers rewarding experiences, lots of laughs, and the chance to form lifelong friendships.
