Effective Date: Jan 1, 2026
The Utah Coalition for Educational Technology (UCET) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard the information provided through the UCET Annual Conference app, developed by Sched. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
When using the UCET Annual Conference app, we may collect:
- Personal Information: Information you voluntarily provide when registering or creating an account, such as your name, email address, and organization.
- Event Preferences: Data related to your session selections, bookmarks, and customized schedule.
- Device Information: Technical details like your device type, operating system, and app usage analytics.
- Location Information: If you enable location services, the app may collect information about your location to enhance user experience (e.g., venue navigation).
2. How We Use Your Information
The information collected is used to:
- Provide and enhance the app’s functionality, including personalized schedules and event updates.
- Communicate with you about the conference, including announcements and session reminders.
- Gather feedback to improve future conferences and app functionality.
- Ensure the app operates efficiently and securely.
3. How We Share Your Information
UCET does not sell or rent your personal information. However, we may share your information with specific event sponsors as follows:
With Event Partners for Marketing Purposes
We share attendee names, email addresses, and job titles with select sponsors to support their marketing efforts, based on their sponsorship level. This is done solely for the purpose of a one-time email blast to welcome and/or thank our attendees:
- Platinum Sponsors: Receive a full pre- and post-conference attendee list.
- Gold Sponsors: Receive a full post-conference attendee list.
- Silver Sponsors: May receive attendee information through badge scanning or by purchasing a list as an add-on.
Badge Scanning by Partners
If you allow a partner to scan your badge, they may add you to their sales list. You are welcome to unsubscribe from any such list at any time. Please note that sales teams often use scanned leads to justify their participation in future UCET events. We encourage you to allow partners to scan your badge if you are interested in their product or service.
Unsubscribing from Sponsor Emails
If you receive emails from any of our sponsors and feel the communications are excessive or no longer relevant to you, you can unsubscribe from their mailing list at any time. Each sponsor’s email will include an option to opt-out of further marketing emails. Please note that UCET is not responsible for the communications you may receive from sponsors after your information has been shared with them.
With Sched
For the purpose of providing app services, Sched may access data necessary to maintain and improve the app.

Trusted third-party vendors may assist in operating the app or analyzing usage data, bound by confidentiality agreements.
As Required by Law
